10 bad reasons to create a website

Jumping on the site building bandwagon isn't always a good idea.
Sometimes you should just say no

*

  1. Every one else has one

  2. You want to be heard, but aren't sure what to say

  3. You have a cool technology to use, but no idea how to implement it.

  4. You want to save money.
(Don't try to build a global portal on some loose change)

  5. You're design-crazy.
(People like good design, but there needs to be a solid base of content)

  6. You have reams of content ready and waiting.
(Will your target audience really read it all!)

  7. You want a quick fix.
(Building a good site takes months of hard work. It can't be done in two weeks)

  8. You want to close your offline business.
(The Web site is the online part of your business - it's not the be-all and end-all)

  9. You want to become a dotcom millionaire.
    (Need we say more!)

  10. You want a domain name on your stationery
