Gray Line Table with BGCOLOR

The trick is to have four vertical columns:

• the contents on the left, I have chosen width=150
• BGCOLOR=#C0C0C0 in the second, width=2
• Blank with just a space character in the third to keep the main body of the text away from the margin width=15 or thereabouts
• All the remaining space for the body of the text.

If the page is long the whole of the page has to be loaded before it shows on the display, so I have cut the page into 40 line chunks with the smae structure for each section.

Some browsers will not maintain a consistent width, so the left column has <HR width=150 HEIGHT=4> or you could use a transparent GIF width=150.
